Dr. Afshin Khalessi

Dr. Afshin Khalessi is a dental surgeon with over 30 years of experience. He graduated from Karolinska University in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1994, and pursued postgraduate studies in dental implantology, restorative dentistry and dental materials at the Eastman Hospital in London. Dr. Khalessi is a member of both the Association of Dental Implantologists (ADI) and European Association of Osseointegration (EAO). He is also the area mentor for ADI mentorship scheme, sharing his expertise with dentists wishing to enter this field.

Married to Bita who is also a business partner at Umi, they are well-established in Petersfield community having lived and worked there for 27 years. In addition to his professional life, Afshin enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing interests such as tennis and caring for animals on his smallholding. Driven by a spirit of adventure, he has explored destinations like Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Base Camp, and Kilimanjaro.

Dr. Khalessi is committed to providing quality dental care with compassion, helping patients achieve optimal oral health and confidence in their smiles.

Dr. Bita Farzad

Dr. Bita Farzad is a highly respected dental surgeon with over 25 years of experience. Graduating from Karolinska University in 1995, she co-owns and operates Umi Clinic in Petersfield alongside her husband, Afshin. Known for her compassionate care and commitment to excellence, Bita ensures personalised treatment for each patient.

Her journey into facial aesthetics began in 2004. With a healthcare background and a keen understanding of facial anatomy as a dentist, she has attended extensive training courses over the years, honing the art and science of aesthetic treatments. With commitment to continuous learning, she stays at the forefront of the industry, ensuring that her patients receive the most advanced and effective treatments available. After two decades in the field, she takes pride in blending her expertise and personalised approach to help each patient achieve their unique aesthetic goals.

Outside of work, she enjoys countryside strolls and caring for animals on her small holding.

Sonia Thomas

Sonia graduated as a dental hygienist from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 2006, earning the prestigious Tutor’s Prize. After serving for 15 years in the Royal Navy, where she traveled extensively on board various ships, she transitioned to civilian practice.

Originally from Plymouth, Sonia began her dental career at 16 as a dental nurse. She is also a qualified dental radiographer, holds a certificate in Oral Health Promotion, and a diploma in Health and Nutrition. Sonia is passionate about preventing dental disease and has become a highly sought-after hygienist.

In her free time, she enjoys caring for her two daughters and going on long walks with her two dogs.

Natalie Montgomery

Natalie, a GDC registered dental nurse, is the Clinic Manager and therapist. With a background as a specialist nurse in implants, endodontics, and orthodontics, Natalie brings a wealth of clinical expertise to her roles. Committed to continuous professional development, she holds Level 4 qualifications in Laser Hair Removal & Skin Rejuvenation, Blemish Removal, and various skincare and aesthetic procedures such as Hydrafacial & Morpheus8 skin tightening.

Aside from her professional accomplishments, Natalie is a devoted wife and mother of five. She enjoys exploring new destinations, experimenting with outdoor cooking, and attending live music events.

Vicky Palmer

With a robust background as a registered dental nurse, Vicky excels in providing exceptional patient care and boasts proficiency in orthodontic nursing, dental radiography and phlebotomy.

Continuously expanding her repertoire, Vicky has ventured into advanced skincare treatments as a trained Hydrafacialist, specialising in rejuvenation techniques. Additionally, she utilises cutting-edge technology as a Morpheus8 therapist to deliver outstanding results in skin tightening and contouring.

A proud alumna of Exeter University, Vicky’s dedication to continuous learning and her compassionate approach underscores her standing as a healthcare professional. Outside of her career, she gracefully juggles her roles as a wife and mother of two toddlers, demonstrating commitment and excellence in all areas of her life.

Kelly Mepham

With over 10 years of experience in customer service and administration, including a strong background in the dental and aesthetics industry, Kelly is committed to ensuring every patient enjoys a smooth and welcoming experience. She thrives on meeting new people and loves being part of a friendly, supportive team.

Having grown up in the local area, Kelly enjoys spending time with her 3 adult children, travelling with her partner, baking, eating out and running.
