FDA Approved Premium Dermal Fillers | UMI Clinic, Petersfield

As we grow older our skin loses its moisture and elasticity. Dermal fillers are an effective treatment to help halt the signs of ageing and create a refreshed and more youthful look to the face.

They are popular alternatives to cosmetic surgery that restore lost volume and sculpt the face. Dermal fillers contain hyaluronic acid which is a substance found naturally in the body that attracts and binds water to the skin and helps keep the skin hydrated and plump.

DERMAL FILLERS FAQS
What areas of the face can you treat with dermal fillers?

Fillers can be used to fill in deep lines, smooth out wrinkles, and add volume to the area around the mouth, the lips, the cheeks, the nose, under the eyes and the chin.

How safe are dermal fillers?

Having dermal fillers is safe if it is done by an experienced and suitably qualified clinician.

Is the dermal filler procedure painful?

You may feel some discomfort but it should not be painful and we can use numbing cream on the area. It can also depend on the sensitivity of the area being treated, however the sensation settles down quickly.

How much downtime is needed following dermal filler treatment?

This will depend on your own particular treatment plan and will be discussed with you at your consultation. However, a rough estimate would be 1-3 days or slight swelling. You may also experience some bruising. Our team is always happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
