How does the Hydrafacial work?
A vortex-like wand is applied to your skin to help clear away dirt and oil from deep in the pores. A peel is also used to help exfoliate and resurface the skin. Then a pen-shaped attachment applies a moisturising serum containing antioxidants such as hyaluronic acid, horse chestnut seed extract, red algae extract, copper, zinc and magnesium peptides.
Most patients enjoy immediate results following a single Hydrafacial. You should expect your skin to look more hydrated and radiant and this glow can last several weeks. The frequency of Hydrafacial sessions depends on your skin type and our experienced team at Umi Clinic can help you determine the right number of sessions based on your skin condition and goals. Generally, it is recommended to repeat the treatment every 3-4 weeks to keep your skin in the best condition.
You will not need any downtime after a Hydrafacial as there are minimal to no side effects. Some patients notice that their skin is slightly blotchy or red for a day or two. We will provide aftercare instructions to manage the redness should it occur. We advise you to avoid harsh skincare products such as retinol and acids, exfoliation and sun exposure for 3 to 4 days.
