Morpheus8 uses tiny needles that penetrate the skin. The tips of the needles heat up and stimulate collagen production, causing contraction of the skin and producing a tightening effect that can last for months after treatment. What makes Morpheus8 different compared to other microneedling systems is the depth to which the needles penetrate the skin, allowing it to mould fat under the skin and obtain more successful results.
It can take up to 28 days to form new collagen, during which time your skin is remodelling within the subcutaneous layer of tissue. Following a single Morpheus8 treatment, you can continue to see changes in your skin for up to 3 months. Once the remodelling has occurred, you may decide to have another treatment for further improvement.
Morpheus8 results last up to 12 to 18 months, providing you take good care of your skin and always wear a high factor sunscreen.

During treatment you are likely to feel a certain level of discomfort, depending on your personal tolerance, however the numbing gel we use will help mitigate this. Your clinician at Umi Clinic will apply numbing cream to the area approximately one hour before the treatment starts, to give the local anaesthetic time to work.
Following treatment with Morpheus8, you are likely to have mild swelling and redness similar to light sunburn, and you may experience small, raised bumps on your skin. Morpheus8 does require some downtime therefore we advise patients to schedule the treatment at least a week before any major events. The healing process usually takes 2 to 3 days. It is advisable to allocate some time for your skin to recuperate.
